Manager, Technology Operations

We are searching for an experienced Manager, Technology Operations at our Store Support Center, located at 600 Citadel Drive, Commerce, CA 90040.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

The Manager, Technology Operations is responsible for the day-to-day technology operations and support for all S&F retail locations. This position will manage Technology, Infrastructure and Networking systems through best practices and the appropriate staffing and management of a technical team. The individual will apply proven communication and problem-solving skills to guide and assist the user group on issues related to the design, development, and deployment of mission-critical information and software systems.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Work with the IT managed service provider to maintain IT service levels as well as identifying opportunities for greater efficiencies through process improvement and assisting in the implementation of these solutions.
  • Work with retail and corporate stakeholders to define business requirements for technology implementations.
  • Participate in the design, acquisition and implementation of store technology.
  • Establish and maintain regular written and in-person communications with the organization?s executives, department heads, and end users for related IT activities
  • Keep current with technology and direct research on potential hardware/software solutions.
  • Develop business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for IT spending and initiatives.
  • Develop Requests for Proposal (RFP) and work with Strategic Sourcing to source solutions.
  • Use strong meeting management skills to engage participants in productive work sessions.
  • Enforce supplier and outsourcer guidelines, obligations, and service level agreements to the organization.
  • Create, maintain and oversee projects.
  • Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Provide management and support to store support vendors.
  • Responsible for technology build-out for new store and store remodels.
  • Manage vendor relationships ? collaborate, escalate and provide support.
  • Provide regular reporting and metrics on vendor performance and open items.
  • Propose new ideas and solutions to improve store technology service.
  • Currency of all in-store workstations, servers, telco and networking gear.

Required Qualifications: Bachelor?s degree (BA/BS) in computer science, computer information systems, or management information systems and/or 5-7 years equivalent work experience. Retail Management Certificate is desirable.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Extensive experience working with managed service providers and vendors in a retail environment.
  • Experience working with retail specific technology including POS Systems, Mobile Devices, Communication Rack equipment and Windows Desktops.
  • Working knowledge of Data Centers and disaster recovery.
  • Experience supporting retail operations and being a point of escalation
    Certifications in Networking, Server Administration, Security or Retail Technology preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Strong technical documentation skills.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize workloads and multitask effectively.
