Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Innovative, creative and strategic thinker; executes creative thought process through design, typography, form and color
• Able to clearly and effectively articulate concepts (visually and verbally)
• Collaborates with copy writers, designers, digital and social teams from concept to completion of projects
• Initiates and obtains creative feedback from other designers and Creative Director during the course of the project
• Adheres and works within PCC brand guidelines to create design solutions across all forms of communication and retail marketing: product packaging, store design/signage, brand collateral, mass media (OOH, radio, print), digital advertising, direct mail and social media
• Proactively manages multiple projects within assigned deadlines with grace and ease
• Works with Creative Director and Senior Production Manager to define and/or improve processes for graphic production
• Participates in meetings, discussions and presentations as part of the creative development process from initial concepts to final design
• Organizes and supports photo shoots, as needed
• Maintains an awareness of design trends in order to help evolve existing materials or brand assets

Qualifications and Skills

• A professional portfolio of work that demonstrates a commanding knowledge of visual design
• Degree in graphic design, visual design or equivalent experience
• 2+ years working in a design firm or advertising agency
• Proficient in Adobe CS, knowledge of digital prepress and print production process
• Strong organizational skills - capable of prioritizing multiple tasks across multiple projects under tight deadlines
• Retail experience a must, food experience a bonus
• Photography skills a plus
• Passion for food and an understanding of the PCC shopper and their values
