Essential Job Functions:

The Engineering Manager is responsible for managing and delivering intelligent, robust technology solutions for our employees and clients. The Engineering Manager will be responsible for development teams leveraging Salesforce, Dell Boomi, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, and other technologies. The Engineering Manager must be able to communicate well with clients who have varying technical abilities, as well as with staff.

Analyze technology, resource needs and market demand, to plan and assess the feasibility of new projects.
Advise and provide input to product team on product roadmaps.
Manage development team to ensure the technical delivery of custom development, integrations and data migration are completed on time and on budget.
Coordinate and plan project work with QA engineering manager, product team and release engineers.
Maintain a productive working environment for development teams.
Manage and coordinate dependencies among parallel development tracks.
Keep leadership and clients updated on progress and escalate when necessary.
Manage risk appropriately and ensure swift conflict resolution.
Act as Scrum master in engineering scrum teams.
Work with IT operations team to ensure they are prepared for delivery and support of all system updates.
Demonstrate a deep knowledge of all Salesforce product offerings and recommend new features and modifications
Plan and maintain budget and resource headcount for development team to support business and client goals.
Recruit employees; assign, direct, and evaluate their work; and oversee the development and maintenance of staff competence.
Manage vendor relationships and projects.
Attaining and achieving position competencies in relation to role responsibilities

Education & Experience Requirements:
Must have at least 3 years of team management experience
Must have at least 5 years of experience in an Agile development environment
5+ years Salesforce platform experience, 2+ years in a lead role
Salesforce Certified Developer
Must have experience with distributed development teams
Scrum master certification
Excellent client-facing written and oral communications skills
Bachelor's degree in computer science, business administration, or related area preferred or four (4) or more years of progressive work experience with healthcare technology.
