Technical Job Description:
-Provide expert-level support to client end user environments averaging from 5 -- 50 users.
-Network infrastructure support and deployment (Internet, Firewall, DNS, Switching, Routing, Remote Access, VPN)
-Server / platform architecture (including virtualization, shared storage, etc.)
-Implementation of Microsoft Server platforms (sizing, installation, active directory, group policy, desktop image design and deployment)
-Implementation of email using Microsoft Exchange or hosted platforms (along with configuration of MX/SPF records, ActiveSync, Antispam, etc.)
-Microsoft Office 365 implementation and migration
-Deployment and management of Microsoft Office (through 2019)
-Provide user training to client's for deployed systems
-Produce and maintain custom documentation for systems that have been deployed to client sites
-Implement backup technologies across supported platforms (virtualization, server, desktop, data)
-Experience with RMM software is a significant plus
-MS windows 10

-MS Active Directory & related services
-Cisco ASA firewall
-Citrix XenApp & XenDesktop
-SAN (EMC / Netgear)
-NAS (Netgear ReadyNAS)
-Prior experience working for a VAR / MSP is preferred
-Experience with RMM software (Kaseya & Solarwinds preferred)
-Automation skills - scripting
-Must be well-spoken, have excellent writing skills, be extremely personable/customer-service oriented, and thrive on the pressure that comes with working in a fast paced IT environment with the capability of multi-tasking.
-Ability to translate tech to non-tech end users for their understanding.
-You need to be the type of person that takes control of a problem and owns it until it's resolved.
-Organized, attention to detail, ability to work independently and on a team.
-Reliable transportation is required, as you may have to spend time visiting client sites within the NYC/Northern NJ area.
-Service will be provided on site, via phone, email or remote access and will include both scheduled and emergency service calls
